Our forefather, Nimrod, the powerful, magical hunter

According to Hungarian mythology, King Nimrod governed his huge realm between the River Tigris and the River Euphrates in the Golden Age. Nimrod, sent from Heaven, was a magical hunter, the  protector of the equestrian nations – like the Magyars – represented by the astrological sign, Sagittarius. In the sky, he is associated with the Orion constellation.
